Exemption from payment of employee’s contribution. — The average daily wages during a wage period for exemption from payment of employee’s contribution under section 42 shall be upto and inclusive of rupees one hundred thirty seven.
|In rule 52, for the words “rupees one hundred thirty seven”, the words “rupees one hundred seventy six” shall be substituted.||Under the amended rule now employees have been exempted from paying contribution towards ESIC if their average daily wage is equal to or less than Rs. 176/-||This amendment will help improve the take home salary of employees of earn below a certain threshold|
